RE: The Emmys

RE: The Emmys

"It was so cute how Portia kept putting her hand on Ellen's arm. They are adorable."
Honey, she was trying to lift Ellen's wallet.

Today's Jesse's turn to kill his nano.
HAHAHAHAHAAAAH.

By the sidewalk at midnight

By the sidewalk at midnight

Sh's Daddy: Where are you?
Sohhwee: At the zoo.
Sh's Daddy: What for?
Sohhwee: To look at the animals.

Work now reminds me of
1) 屋顶 (Wu Ding; translation: rooftop),
2) Halo III,
3) 7.30pm.

Makes me a lil' nauseous.

The past few days I've been pushed to listen to this particular song for like, forever. It's played on my black pod from Bukit Batok to Jurong, from Jurong to Eunos, from Eunos to the 'Pulse. I'll then keep my iPod and be compelled to sing that song (for a trigamongzillion times). Thereafter (7 hours later), I'll plug the device back into my ears and listen to that track (again) from Eunos to Bukit Timah.

That's 屋顶.
Gina love it soooo much my ears have to suffer for a while.

I was exaggerating, by the way.

Anyway.
Was meant to attend this gig by Plainsunset with Calleeb (and Tofu, supposedly). And I arrived 45 minutes late - By the time we got there, the band played its last verse of their last song.

Hahahahh!

Oh, you must must must listen to 'Fiona's Secret' from Shrek, by John Powell! What a lullaby.
:))))

All your incessant bullshit, Superlative Comrade

All your incessant bullshit, Superlative Comrade

is disgusting (and offensive). So. Swallow them.

You’re quite impolite, don’t you think? Spreading your words of antipathy like wildfire to just about anyone you know.
And fyi, you’ve just committed a social suicide – Unknowingly.

I wonder how it feels like to chew a ginger candy. Gusto, no?

And I'm supposed to be snoozing

And I'm supposed to be snoozing

Will blog 'bout work in my next post, okay?
And I'll send all recent photos (baking, XXL's birthday, and work) to The-People-Joanna-Owes-Pictures-to by next week! Promise.

I slept - And woke up 2 hours later, realizing my feet's numb, and my hands cold.
Had an awful dream 'bout a toothpick stucked in my throat and then I started coughing till my tongue falls out. Oddly - There was no blood. (And I couldn't recall what happened before that.)
It's freaky considering that I'm awaken by choking dreams most of the time - Like how Thomas and Gina tried to strangle me while I was sleeping, how I almost died from drowning (and could even taste the water in my mouth after I woke up), how I fell over the ledge and didn't crash 'cos my throat's hanging onto a bamboo pole - And would die from choking instead.

What's wrong with my dreams?!

He spilled her drink.

Like peas jumping in a pot

I'm learning to love my flaws. Yours. And others.

I realize I missed out a lot in my friends’ lives, vice versa. My blog address linked to their site's still http://cokeblaster.blogspot.com. That's like, way before I came to poly (which is more than 2 years ago)? Oh no.

That is what’s so interesting about life - You move on, and leave your bits behind.

I used to worry about me being non-existent. Like what would happen after I die. And a century later the world would forget about me, and that I'm gone - For good.

But I also learnt that there's always proof you existed. Like the bones of the massive beasts, like paintings of the cavemen... etc. When someone leaves, they leave a set of things behind.

They leave behind their footprints, their breath - CO 2 (evident in the growth of plants), their journals, their birth certs, their driving license... ...
They even leave behind their skin cells (which we shed on everything we touched). Therefore it proves you once existed, even on properties you never once owned.

Thank goodness.

And then it strikes me again - What if I don't exist at all?
It's so weird - There's no Joanna, and my cellphone number would be someone else's. And that this blog wouldn't exist.
Can you believe it? NO JOANNA'S SKIN CELL. EVER.

I might just be a freaking molecule.
(Or worse, an atom.)

Argh…
I should just shut up and be thankful that I never will be part of thin air.

RAWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH;

A bitter pill for a better tomorrow

A bitter pill

for a better tomorrow.

You know what.
This is Gina's idea of an awesome-posum job:

Collecting tin cans.

Apparently, she fell in love with the idea knowing that a kg of 'em could earn her a dollar (and fifty cents).
HAHAHH?

That aside, I think I owe you guys my PM replies.
Here they are (click to enlarge)!

Vladimir Nabokov

Vladimir Nabokov

I think it is a matter of love: the more you love a memory, the stronger and stranger it is.

Hahahahahahahahahaa!
Happy birthday, love!

Your condescension is disgusting

Your condescension is disgusting

My imagination runs wild - A lot. Often I think that I am being ensued by assasins.
Many times my imaginations made me think that I'm so maginificent; but beneath it all I lack confidence. I'm a coward. I'm impossible at making decisions; and maybe I'll always stay under the pot of the government and never be worth a shit.

In other days I'm so determined and stubborn; that makes me a prick.
I'm probably a frigging communist.

Why am I so depressing?

Hahah, I'm just kidding.

I can leave you feeling defeated too

I can leave you feeling defeated too

Spent a few hours setting up the drum set last night. Man, damn the knobs. Freaking hardcore, know. And I finally slept at 4am.
Well. Thought my sleep would be awesome... ...till XLing called to ask 'bout my results. It's frigging 10am (which means I slept for mere 6 hours; oh nooo).
And guess what? 8 people's asking for it (via sms).

Siao ah.
Worse of all, their reply:

"Okay, that's good. Thanks."
(Either this or no reply at all.)

What???
Thanks? Okay? That's good?
Oh please, go hang yourselves.

My results.
I've got nothing to brag about, really (which is why I'm not exactly very happy). As and Bs. And the one with the most credit (Film History), is the one I scored the lowest. Definitely not the best way to start out a day.

Ah well.

Calleeb, XXL, Tofu, Meatball, and I are gonna save up for a trip to... JAPAN! Hoorah. But somehow I don't feel too good 'bout it. Felt I won't be enjoying myself that much. Hurr.

That's the problem with me - I worry too much.

Baby, too much sunshine burns.
You can't have a little of everything; that'd be too much.

Am I troubled?

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For our light and momentary troubles are acheiving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen. but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Boy meets Girl.

Evonne: I can bite you. I'm a dinosaur.
Erica: I can whack you. I'm your mom.

Rawh;
I hate meetings!

Is anyone getting me another Charlotte?

Comex fair.

Working for Comex this time round's pretty much like the previous fairs - Boring people, literary conversations, and scaredy cats. Seriously, I couldn't really figure why I accepted the job; if I were given a second chance I would say "Hell yeah, why not?" again.

Boring people.
They adore their job and wouldn't even consider having a slack.

Literary conversations.
They speak like they're reading 'My Compendium of Idioms'.

Scaredy cats.
They're really not in for any tease. They just wanna finish their job and yell "HALLELUJAH I'M RELEASED".

But I guess some people are worth mentioning, though - Let me see.
Shiqi; we call her Chia. My IT Fair partner! We've been working together for 2 fairs already. "Fan hao bu hao chi?" (translation: does it taste good?)
Lijun; Soft-spoken, and the girl Shiqi and I have been gossiping about. Scandal scandal, girl!
Ernest; easily entertained. He laughs at EVERYTHING, lol!
Jiawei; friggingggg interesting guy. His jokes and riddles. I swear, they're silly, LOL.
Peiwen; we don't really travel in the same frequency but she's pretty much my companion.
Bao; the lady whose face's similar to an Indian. She is... isn't she? She's an enthusiast!
Hong Yi; the guy who helped clear my flyers. Awesome!
Charles; NP dude who seems to know a lot about FSV (and knows this really cool trick, LOL).

Tada.
