ELECTRIC CURRENTS THROUGH BROKEN BONES

The eye. The bone. The skin.
Sometimes you see a flinch, and sometimes a soul.
Everyone is searching, through and through.
But nobody finds.
We're engulfed.

The faces on the papers.
'Remembered by loved ones', it says.
It fills the page.
Everything else is hollow.

Kind eye. Thin bone. Tired skin.
Her hands, weary, slaps the sandwich together.
Her chapped lips, bites into it.
She heaves.

In her grey room, that stream of light.
The music on the radio.
The yellow stain on the sheets.
Her touch, long forgotten touch.
Her song.
Her morning breath.
Her torn fingers.

Their bodies entwine, broken currents.

But she's gone.
What was left of her is gone.

In love with the girl sitting across the table.

SENSE OF ORDER

No reasonable person can still believe that imitation is the end of art. To do so is like saying that the writing of history consists in recording all the known facts. Every creative activity of the human race depends on selection, and selection implies both a power to perceive relationships and the existence of a pre-established pattern in the mind. Nor is this activity peculiar to the artist, scientist or historian. We measure, we match colours, we tell stories. All through the day we are committed to low-grade aesthetic activities. We are being abstract artists when we arrange our hair brushes, impressionists when we are suddenly charmed by a lilac shadow, and portrait painters when we see a revelation of character in the shape of a jaw. All these responses are wholly inexplicable and remain unrelated until a great artist unites and perpetuates them, and makes them convey his sense of order.

PICASSO BABY X THE ARTIST IS PRESENT

This is Jay-Z's performance art "Picasso Baby", that was inspired by one of my favorite performance artists, Marina Abramovic.

At Marina Abramovic's 2010 MoMa retrospective, she performed "The Artist Is Present" as part of the show, where she shared a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her. Her ex lover, Ulay, arrived without her knowing.

Marina Abramovic and Ulay started an intense love story in the 70s, performing art out of the van they lived in. When they felt the relationship had run its course, they decided to walk the Great Wall of China, each from one end, meeting for one last big hug in the middle and never seeing each other again.

This is her performance at 2010 MoMa --

VÄRLDSKULTUR MUSEET GÖTEBORG

"What a holiday!"

That's what I'll say in a month's time.

Been traveling a lot and doing things I really love. Vietnam and Kulai are the recent destinations, KL and ____ will be up next. Work? I'll save that for later ;-) Can't wait to make my next shortie! Please await whilst I gather my girls. Meanwhile, check BLOW! out.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall

Mirror, Mirror on the wall

My big bro (Germ) came into my room at 2am asking me to teach him how to draw faces (he got inspired by watching Heroes). Taught him a lil' but it became boring afterwards.

So guess what?

We started drawing pretty people...
...and turned them into JNRs (jian nu rens) and alcoholics - with warts.
Hahahahh!

From...

to...

HAHA?!
We gave her a protruding forehead, created a nose bridge, erased her cheekbone and plumped her cheeks, thicken her eye make-up, gave her a blush, lengthen her lashes, arched her brows, gave her a double chin (rofl!), gave her curly hair, added accessories (nose ring and hoop earrings), and even blessed her with a lucky mole!
Now she's a jian nu ren!

Next?

From...

to...

Omgggg.
We drooped her eyelids, as well as her brow, gave her eye rings, added wrinkles by the eye and on her forehead, increased her nose bridge a lil' and changed her tiny nose to hooked nose (with droopy nostrils), plumped her cheeks, removed her teeth so her lips sag, gave her a double chin, added warts (omgrofl!); and for the final touches, we messed up her hair!
Told you - Alcohol and drugs make you look like crap.
Now she's in rehab.

Totally unrecognizable.
Hahahaaa!

Art

Ooohh, do I miss drawing babies.

You know, it's like suddenly the excitement from doing Art just rushed back to me. Hey darla eve, do you remember those days we skipped school and crept into the Art studio to complete our paintings? You did a charcoal drawing of this girl, and I painted bjork (which now I feel, looks like a clown -.-") Gosh! It gave me tingly feelings. <3

Today I spent my day flipping through my portfolio and Art archives. Ooohh, for a split second I regretted what I've been doing for the past 1 and a 1/2 years. It's like: "Hey, I should be at design school!" But nope, no room for regrets. Film, here I come!

And...
I still miss papa and mama :(
