You're just going to be a spinster living with a bunch of cats

You're just going to be a spinster living with a bunch of cats

Giddy, bloated, heavy, sniffles, cough, and tired all the time.
Hate to be weak, and I need to be focused.

This, will be my breakfast/lunch/dinner until I get fitter.

Yulk.
I'm such a boring, unenthusiastic slack.

-But guess not anymore; look at what I did with oats:

Goodbye y'all.

Very reasons I'm cheering...

And I laugh like I've got spasms.

Go forth, dear army of mine

Go forth, dear army of mine

I'm crazy over stop motion ever since I did it for IBP.
And this, is awesomeposumawfully beautiful.

Yesterday,
I bent my rules.

I love online shopping and used to be a fan of ebay; that's where I bought my first iPod and my first camera 4 years back. But you know, I don't trust international sellers (especially one who is slow to reply my inquiries) therefore I never bid for stuff that's above SGD150.

However. Today PB helped me bid for a camera that's way above my SGD150 online shopping price range (btw, he's the only I can trust in buying cameras). OMG, my heart pounded so fast especially when it comes down to the last minute.

We lost.
But it's okay, we bought something else ;-)

Meet my new baby:

Nikon FE,
the older cousin to FE2.

PB spent 2 days trying to help me find the perfect deal... and that's all he ever did (besides eating and sleeping). Thank you for being soooo awesome!

P.S.
I didn't, and I couldn't sleep. It's 6.49am.
I think there's something wrong with me.

Exhibitionistic tendency

Exhibitionistic tendency

Funny. Some people just have to scoff and criticize everything else. They do that in attempt to make themselves exceptionally cool and so not-in-the-crowd. But when everybody's trying to be cool and unique, they're not that special anymore.

This is to YOU who laughs at people when they claim they like Harry Potter or Coldplay. Foremost, you don't even read HP or even listen to Coldplay; but all you do is to mock at those fans saying they're silly, boring, popularity followers. You, on the other hand, listen to loser indie bands who can't even make themselves famous. Look at yourself - You're one toad who doesn't even know who Dumbledore is 'cos you're too concerned in trying to look sophisticated yourself.

This is to YOU who condemns people that write "25 random facts about me" posts on facebook, saying they're attention-seeking individuals. But really, people like talking and sharing facts about themselves. And by voicing out your judgmental opinion on CLEO, isn't that attention-seeking too, Ms. Chen?

This is to YOU who speaks so harshly about every other issue in the world using the f word ever so frequently like it's your comma. You enslave yourself in your perfect own world thinking that every other entrepreneurs or advertisers are making a fool of themselves by not ensuing the other path out. If that little fiery brain of yours is so brilliant, why are you not earning big bucks now?

Loser.

P.S. I need help with my blog template. Any html pro willing to help this pathetic girl here?

It continues

It continues

So proud of us T1B3 girls!
Didn't even realize that all 6 of us won various awards till I read auntie's blog.

Just so you don't already know -
We (tofu, chin, meatball, cutie, auntie, and I) were feeling awkward and skeptical about each other intially during the first few weeks of school, but well, I guess we weren't that independent to walk the walk alone so we stayed with each other. I don't really know how, but we never left each other since then and we became quite an infamous bunch for being cam whores (and "loud"), thanks to Gina.

But you know what? I've never regretted being part of this clique; 'cos the amazing thing about us is, we remained a close-knit clique till the end of our poly years even though we have so very different personalities.

The presence of you girls made my poly life so much easier to handle!

And here's our very very very very first picture -
1st day of school in storytelling class:

Love you girls :)

P.S. My parents can't make it to my grad 'cos they'll be in China. Le sigh.

Seeps through my skin

Seeps through my skin

A milestone is hailed and I've closed yet another chapter in my life.

Guess what I've learnt?
A great lesson of faith.

Congrats to all FMS graduates, all academic award winners,
and of course, to my IBP team. Hoorah!

See you on the 13th ;-)

P.S. This picture's got no relevance to the post.

What's your take on love?

What's your take on love?

Love, is freedom.
The pretend (or rather, invalid one), is slavery.

This corny and sentimental, yet yearning word, took me many years to fully comprehend. It was all a bit of here and there... and then I finally knew.

Value was the one very important piece that fits snugly into the puzzle. And it was all understood. I did not just carelessly give it the value that it doesn't deserve; I sincerely assigned value to what or who I truly loved.

Love moves and expresses itself:
You love your game.
Naturally you'd want to play it whenever you have the chance to.
You love your pet.
Naturally you want to shower it with hugs and snacks and walks.
You love your spouse.
Naturally you'll express it out with kisses, gifts, or simply, concern.
You love your God.
Naturally you'll fear Him and want to do everything that glorifies and pleases Him.

Love is like addiction.
But what if you're not hooked to it?

It will naturally show.

Many wrongly lay claim to a distorted interpretation of "love" through abuses, stalkings, or simply through pretend. Such man makes a mockery of "love" as he cruelly spits the word forth from his mouth as if he were expelling a soupçon he found unpalatable.

"Love" is then slavery in its vilest form.

Love in its purest form, on the other hand, is an amazing depiction of freedom in its most sublime nature. It is ignorant of our apparent physical blemishes, focusing instead on the contrary where it truly belongs.

It gives us freedom to grow into who we were created to be. "Love" simply stirs us to design, aspire, and genuinely love others for the right reasons.

That's my take :-)

Oh, you shouldn't have

Oh, you shouldn't have

Down to the earth I fell

With dripping wings
Heavy things won't fly
And the sky might catch on fire
And burn the axis of the world
That's why I prefer a sunless sky
To the glittering and stinging in my eyes

Concentrate. Overcome.
How can I let this sting get all over my head?

Die and be merry

Die and be merry

I'm looking at a completely pristine (and bright and clean) screen, with my ipod plugged into my new set of ports, and charged with my brand new charger. No wonder I'm in such a good mood :-)

My giant ladybug says:
Uh. Your warranty's probably dying off soon. Hurry, hurry!

This recent 4D3N trip to Hong Kong with my family was great. We wished Germ was there to join us. Instead of being boring and just do shopping, we went to Madame Tussaud's, had cable rides, view-watching, etc, and of course, Disney's.

If you stop setting expectations and quit the comparisons with other Disneys, HK Disney is actually pretty fun. We took 1 1/2 days to complete all the rides there. The queues are not as bad as in the reviews; and it's probably so as we went during the off-peak season. And if you're gonna visit HK Disney sometime soon, remember to watch its fireworks. I was in awe.

We had a one night stay in Disney's Hollywood hotel. IT'S AMAZING, I TELL YOU. We took everything we could possibly bring back from the hotel - From soaps to notepads.

Been a sluggard ever since I'm back from Hong Kong. The only things I've cleared from my luggage are my clothes and gifts. And the rest? They're still in there (I still dig my luggage for new sets of underwear).

But well, my month-long break and sluggish moments are now over; gonna start work soon. So you guys better date me now or never! ;-)

P.S. Photos of the rest of the HK trip up next post! - or maybe not.
