Older by a notch

Older by a notch

Sad things are easier to write about, and happy things are easier talked about. I can't explain the joy I had on my death day. The death of my youth.

This post doesn't do justice. But anyway, here's the spin:
1. The Davidians were awesome - While I was doing my sharing during bible study, Stelly suddenly emerged with a CHOCO MUD CAKE (idiot, interrupt my sharing. Hahahh, totally kidding)

2. The Marmalades got me bras and panties, and CHOCO NUTELLA CAKE. Last year was g-strings, fyi. I know, their gifts are so lame so cliche ;-X

2. Mommy bought me a birthday tee, which I intend to wear to my birthday celebration with PB tomorrow! ;-D

3. PB, ginaCUTIE aka. girlfriend Jane, and CC baby came to surprise me at 10pm odd with all sorts of weird antics! They actually pa-kat (however you spell this) with my parents to surprise me.

It's CHOCO CAKE - again, hahahahh! PB gave me a Super8mm film camera (otw)! ;-D Guess what I received from Jane and CC? A lady's shoulder bag, cheapo refrigerator holder, a photo frame, and... four green apples -.-" All from Mustafa. HAHAHH I know! Funny as hell.

"Joanna! We got this for you but we don't have your photo so make do with this k!"
It's actually an empty photo frame with some random commercial people smiling.

-_________-||

You know what I really want for my birthday? Blessings and loads of prayers :-) For my future, yes, I seriously need them. So if you really do care and really do love me, PRAY FOR ME!

Love y'all <3

P.S. Pictures up next!

It's a freaking wrap!

It's a freaking wrap!

Yes, IBP is over, every little detail - paperwork, product, press kit, up to the last DV and Beta is submitted. And school, is done with. Alas!

I was really excited when it all ended, but when it all came to me when I got home, I felt a little empty and a little sad. It's all over. I truly love my life here in FSV - My friends and mates, my work, my deadlines, everything. Oh, now I sound a little emotional, hah!

Now for the biggest news: I'M GRADUATING.

:-)

A post-valentine's post

A post-valentine's post

Happy St Valentine's to all my blogders :-)
St Valentine's was awesome. Guess what we did today? Eat, of course.

Today's spin: Dinner at some sushi restaurant, walked around, got Jojo a sailor top whilst pb got himself some cable ties, have mango-strawberry-durian-ice desert, went up for 2nd round of dinner at Ajisen's, cuckoo bus ride which made our heads spin, got down the bus, threw up in front of pb (eewl), got home, threw up - again, shower, here I am.

Lesson learnt - Never take a bus with a full an exploding stomach.

I'd like some chicken wings, please

I'd like some chicken wings, please

This post is not open for discussion so do not discuss 'bout it. Yeah, thanks.
Just found this really funny debate in a forum (I was laughing out loud 'cos some comments are really self-owned) and thought I might as well share it since I saved it in my own docu folder.

You know, the argument on whether a God exist has been argued through and through for 98364738 years but still, it's on. What makes it different if you start another discussion about it? Atheists will be atheists, believers will be believers (yes yes, some do convert and all...).

ATHEIST:
John Clarke (London) wrote on March 20, 2008 at 2:16am:

If God existed and knew that many of his flock (who have FAITH in his existence) spent most of their lives on Face Book Discussion Boards argueing with NORMAL everday aethiests (who won't believe anything about God until it is proven to them), then God would have revealed himself.
Why?
1) To free his Faithfull Flock from day & night round the clock arguments with mere heathens allowing more time prayer, niceness and general condescending smiles.
2) To allow his Faithfull Flock the chance to say 'Look we told you so!'
3) To smite those bleating 'science is everything' know-alls.
4) To finally get that Richard Dawkins bloke for trying to outsell Gods own Bible best seller with a cheap title which contains Gods name (copyright issues!)

I've now waited many months for God to reveal himself on facebook and nothing happened so by logic he doesn't exist. I was getting fed up with asking people to prove Gods existence, so as he is omni-thingy & all over the place I thought I'd provoke him in to revealing himself.

Last chance God; are you out there?
BELIEVER/REBUTTAL:
Collin Cavote replied to John's poston March 20, 2008 at 3:20am

John, let me preface by saying I am not religious. But who do you think you are to assume that the (potential) creator of this entire universe, is required to show himself to you. I mean, we are essentially nothing compared with the scale of the universe- what inflates your ego to the point where you think that (God, Allah, Evolution, Physics, ETC...) should come and tell you what is happening? Get over yourself.

Even if life has arrived on this planet by laws of chemistry, and the right conditions... dont you think your perspective on things is rather grotesque. You, a little being, that will last about 80 rotations around our star, thinks that the creator of a universe 14 billion years old, and the size of which we cant possibly concieve, should let you know whether or not "he" is real.

Your mother so fat; when she jumped for joy, she got stucked

Your mother so fat;
when she jumped for joy, she got stucked

To those who tagged me in their "25 random things" note of FB, I'm writing this back:

1. She secretly wish everyone will get fat and grow warts on their buttocks, except herself.
2. She used to wear skirts everyday but now she don't even touch them.
3. Her 1st ambition was to become a fishmonger.
4. She doesn't like shopping anymore.
5. Her hair falls every time she's stressed.
6. Animals that have flat faces are adorable. Like Persian kitties and Shih Tzus.
7. Hate games, especially computer games.
8. She thinks every woman should have a kid.
9. She loves the Davidians though she don't really talk to them much...
10. Being a part of SCJ2 was one of her best memories, ever.
11. She started failing Math when she was five. She could only count to 10, no further.
12. Boring and irritatingly true, she's a home person. TV, bed, and books are Me Life.
13. She first introduced house-sneaking to Cassie when she was 13.
14. The only reason she watch dramas alone is so that nobody can watch her cry.
15. If daydreaming were a hobby, it would be hers.
16. She gets a bout of heatrash so often it's pathetic.
17. If she wasn't selected to be in FSV, she'd be taking up Visual Comm at TP.
18. She wrote 26 books before the age of twelve, but they never got published, hahahh!
19. She's been thinking of dieting ever since she was nine. But only got fatter.
20. Vicious is her middle name. See how she almost caused her ex-classmate to jump off the building.
21. She doesn't want a driving license. She wants a chauffeur.
22. SHE LOVES MAYONNAISE.
23. She was the fattest baby in the hospital. Her mother almost died having her (kid~).
24. She can never make it as a sports person.
25. She's supposed to be doing her work now.

Oh yeah, work.
BYE.

Suck in deep

Suck in deep

What the theatres bring that downloaded movies can't:
Having people laugh, gasp, and scream with you.

And I truly miss all of that.

"Hello theatre", when?

If you've already tried hard enough

If you've already tried hard enough

Final-Grade Telecine started from 10.00am to 6.30pm. K.O-ed over there although I did almost nothing, really, except staring at Ken doing his magic. And when PB and I finally had our anni' dinner at Manhattan's, OH MY OH MY. Pure joy. Without it I would've died a hungry ghost.

We didn't do much except eating (like
always; no wonder I can't seem to lose my fats) and catching up with mags at Borders (again); but I was a happiest soul in the world ;-D

And here are my photo updates as promised.

Post-Production review in school:
(notice CC and I were wearing the same top)

Final lap in my 108 working marathon at PB's,
and finally had a breakfast break:

Ch.5 Kucinta wrap party at Helipad's:
(Disclaimer: I'm not a party animal okay! I don't even club.)

CNY 2009 with fam, PB, and cuzzies:
(My informal family portrait was taken by PB! Nice exposure right, heh heh.)

Goodnight, and all the best for all IBP mates!

P.S. We all miss Germ and we'll still continue to pray for his safety in Brunei, right? :-)

A day worth remembering

A day worth remembering

Guess what? We've known each other for 4 years already. Golly! ;-D

"Hey Eugene!" by Pink Martini:

I think it's one of their best, don't you think?

P.S. I lost my camera memory card. Call me if it's with you somehow. It's labelled "1".

P.P.S. Pictures up next post!
