It's 1:30am and the word 'paramecium' keeps appearing in my head

It's 1:30am and the word 'paramecium' keeps appearing in my head

(I think it's a curse of the Biology Devil.)

Anyway Biology paper was nuts.
It was like asking us to stab our throats with our mechanical pencils.

I think our lecturer's an exam terrorist - She tricked us into noting down which are the important things to study, yet none of them appear in the paper. All that came out were 5 marks questions that appear as insignificant in our notes (speak about a one-sentence description in the notes).

I remember telling PB that if all the diagrams (plant cell, leaf, cross section, etc.) that I've learnt to draw didn't come out in the paper I will hang myself....

Yea I should hang myself now. Bye.

I'm not sure if you still remember, but I featured a fashion designer, Barbara Munsel, last year in one of my blog posts. She makes the most comfortable clothes on Earth.

This was the top I featured - Pale pink with frocks:

I didn't get it in the end 'cos it wasn't sold locally. But today I found something similar:

It only cost SGD22.90 (!!!)

It doesn't have the frocks (which I love so very much), though...
And look at the straight blunt cut at the sleeves and hem; it's probably made in China.

:-(

P.S. My reply to tofu's blog post - Yes I think you've owned me. And you've owned me, and everyone, even more than ever by telling the truth to Nana (that you skipped school). GG. By the way I thought you want to eat steamboat one? Where are you?! Vanished?!

P.P.S. Sometimes I really thank God for Xiaxue. Read this.

When the East meets West

When the East meets West

I owe my eyes a rest.
Whoever won't be completely wowed over by the inglouriously screenwritingly benderly week? I'm mortified.

And I think I screwed up my bio test (don't ask me why I need to take bio lessons; I feel stupid just by mentioning it). So what if it's open book? It's freaking 10 minutes. And I end up writing crappy answers that made jiayun laugh.

The paper's a joke.
I'm a joke.

(but the following isn't)

I know the following collection is soooooo old.
But I especially love how it can blend Eastern flavors into Western pieces.

Love the green dress with shoulder pads, the classy black dress with very pretty turtle-neck frills, and the flowery bold-print dress with puffy shoulders. They remind me of English dresses fused with Chinese qipaos.

I love how money comes rolling in

I love how money comes rolling in

It's pleasant that people still remember your clothes. Someone called to ask me about my prized possessions - Those clothes that I don't wear to school nor church; they are the clothes that I only wear to really special occasions, and that I pack them nicely back into their boxes and tissue, with all the paper receipts and care instruction cards still packed inside.

For those who remember my Luella cream cardigan with buttoned sleeves and my faux velvet double-frill black skirt, yes I'm finally selling them off to someone who will take care and love them for her entire life. And that lucky someone is... K.Tan (if you recall, she's the spunky-mod-edgy-emo girl from NYGH).

Ugh, eyesore. But yes, this' Luella for you:

I was thinking of clearing my wardrobe and sell them off to all fashionistas who wanna get (secondhand) pretty clothes/bags at a lower price. Okay, if you happen to see this, don't hesitate to call or email me to view 'em.

Uh, okay if you dig branded or reputable goods I've got labels like Lulu, People of Asia Company, Gucci, LV, Naf Naf, Joan, Miss Sixty... And if you're looking for unique pieces, I've got HK underground labels like G.Girl. Well, I don't wear or use most of them. Even when I do I only wear them out like once or twice, and they are all handwashed.

Reason is, I don't actually wear or carry branded/labelled goods; I don't really know how I get them either. In fact on most days I actually wear jiat-palang or homey knitted clothes. And by keeping them in my wardrobe I'm actually killing their precious life. And I'm in need of moneyyyyy!

I smell curry ;D
K, bye.

Whisper sweet nothings

Whisper sweet nothings

"Relief". You don't know how much trauma I've gone through just to attain this.

Okay, here's my first afternoon post in weeks.

I like beautiful party frocks peeking out from underneath a skirt/dress/tee/whatever, and I absolutely love the way they bounce as you walk. The glamour in an ordinary outfit.

Yes, Rotterdam designer Barbara Munsel designed this beautiful masterpiece.

Her works are amazing - Strident lines, careful prints, earth-toned palette, and leaden weight. They soften up the body-fit, bold coloured, and massive print look that Singaporeans seem to be heading. Ah lians.

Despite the odd structure Munsel's line carries, her designs come with the use of palatial materials that are softly powerful - Chiffon, faux feathers, crepe de chin, silk, organic cotton (like Muji)... Amazing how she ignored the seasonal trends.

I know you would have assured me that I wouldn't like it as much, and it's something I'd keep under nude tissue and place it carefully in my drawer... and not wear it (truly undeniable), but I loved it.

I'm going to get one of her pieces somehow, sometime.
Suck thumb if you realize it kick-bullocks.

A post for the laydees

A post for the laydees

Can't dress up ≠ Fashion disaster
Fashion disaster = Clothes that makes you look like a clown

Everyone's got their wardrobe malfunction days. But sometimes some people just make these mistakes everyday.

1. The basic - Bras.

Don't they know that transparent bra straps aren't exactly... transparent? And really, it's awful at that.

Ugh.

You see, strapless bras are invented for a reason. Or you can look for other alternatives like the stick-ons, the patches, or tubes. Dig those.

2. Back to the 80s - Leggings.

Whoever substitutes pants with leggings?!

It's gross to see people wearing regular tops matched with leggings. Well girls, at least cover your asses! Leggings are just a thicker version of stockings; you don't ever wear them as pants.

Picture seeing the full shape of this girl's ass with the outline of her underwear formed on the leggings.

Tell me, how disgusting is that?

Thrash this:

Dig this:

Still insist on going for "that look"?
Well just to let you know, some genius out there actually created this awesome invention called the "skinny jeans", you know?
