Well, screw you to whoever who said that. I hate that word.

It seriously is annoying to hear that from anyone especially as of now. Today I realized how important cliques are, and there is nothing wrong or bad about them.
I often felt strongly about cliques but didn't know how to defend them when anyone barge in and say that they are too "clique-ish" (especially when that statement comes from someone who belongs to one, tsk).
Today in class when everyone has to form a group, naturally the ones in cliques formed one. Like almost instantly. What about some others who float around and doesn't belong to any particular ones? Are they as "fab" and "un-clique-ish" as what some might say?
Uh... No. They literally float around. Like, not belonging anywhere.
It's okay and totally awesome to not be part of any cliques. But it's also totally okay to be part of one. We don't build a clique 'cos we want to be exclusive; it comes naturally as we grow comfortable with each other. And there's nothing wrong to be in the comfort zone. We don't have to constantly challenge ourselves with unfamiliar faces.
It's not like we don't mix around, right? Jiayun and I went for a class steamboat by ourselves... We really do chat around with other school mates... I don't change my class slot just 'cos my good friends do... Now I'm in a shooting group with none of my buddies in it...
See - We're not acting like we're an exclusive bunch of lamebrain.
There is nothing wrong with cliques. I wouldn't even call ourselves one. That's too middle-school. They are only bad when they intentionally exclude other people out. Also, it's not like we haven't tried mixing around. It's just ultimately I thought I'd like to have you guys around better.
That's the only time when I don't have to try so hard.
I don't have to adopt a Gina-gene or act like I'm a chatty happy pea. I can just be me.
