Just want to publicly and specifically thank The One Above.
He's always been so kind to me, graciously helping me all these while even though I haven't exactly been a good girl. I'm such a sinner. You won't know how awful I am. If salvation wasn't by faith through grace, I would have directly been transported straight to hell.
But... He just brought me through. Even when I got myself into deep s, he graciously (he could have chosen not to) gave me a chance to redeem myself.
You probably would have known that I've been transformed into a walking zombie lately. Besides the "oh gosh, I think I just fell asleep on my computer" and "this class is so boring I'm just gonna shut my eyes for one second", I haven't slept well for 4 days straight. It's weird how I can still function as a human being, less say perform in class.
But through all these, even as I'm about to give up, he literally gave me the energy to finish my work. In this case, all the major final assignments, final business plan, and of course, feature screenplay.
I wanted to give up so so so badly. There are times whereby I just fell asleep then and there while typing. And when I woke up, all I type was this:
police catch thief. so good u noe fish catch till die bang bangg kaboom. he shoot e girl she die on e spot. she eat cupboa rdd cannot goWhat did I just type?!
So as I was saying, yes, surprisingly, without even yawning or any semblance of fatique, I just typed and typed and typed and... by morning, my baby was born. My first feature screenplay was born at 7:45am.
It took me a night to type 25 pages of Act 1, another 5 hours to merely hit 30 pages, and the final night... to go from 30 pages to 92 pages. That's 62 pages a night from 12am to 7:30am, which means 8.3 pages per hour. Insane speed!
And you know what? That final night was the night when I decided to turn to God for help.
Before that I was struggling with even completing a single page, finding ways to cheat script space by like putting in between spaces, add more descriptions, more dialogues, etc. But when I realized I was using my own brains and own strength instead of God's, I know I've made a big mistake. Who am I, seriously? Do I really think that I can do all these myself? Hell, no!
Thank Lord for the enlightenment and the chance to apologize.
I've screwed up so many times and only went to God when I needed help. I'm glad all these wastage of time and bad experience is set as a reminder to look at God above instead.
It is an awful experience, but a great wake up call.
:-)
